From a press release:

(Cherokee, NC, July 5, 2012): Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel, a multibillion dollar corporation set in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, is hiring more than 500 full time and part time positions in various career fields for its entertainment and resort facility.

Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel is owned and operated by the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation and is managed by Caesar’s Entertainment Corporation, an American public gaming corporation that owns and operates over 50 casinos and hotels, along with seven golf courses under several brands. The company, based in Paradise, Nevada, is the largest gaming company in the world, with annual revenues of $8.9 billion in 2010.

The hiring boon at Harrah’s Cherokee is initiated by approval of the gaming compact between the Eastern Band and the State of North Carolina with relation to traditional table games, lifting of restrictions on slot machines and the addition of credit services. Black Jack, Roulette, Craps and other Carnival games will be offered to casino guests as early as September 2012.

In addition to experienced table game dealers and supervisors, Harrah’s Cherokee will offer paid training for inexperienced table game dealers and supervisors. They will also be hiring support service positions such as valet, housekeeping, security officers and beverage servers/bartenders.

All positions at Harrah’s Cherokee include an incredible benefits package with health care and dental, 401K, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, as well as opportunities for advancement.

Applicants may apply online at caesars.com or attend an upcoming Job Fair on July 11 and July 25 at the casino.

Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel opened its doors in 1997 with 60,000 square feet of casino floor space. Celebrating 15 years in operation and the completion of its $650 million expansion, the facility has essentially doubled in size, now offering 190,000 square feet of casino space, 1,108 hotel rooms (the largest hotel in both North and South Carolina), seven retail stores, 10 restaurants, and a 3,000 seat, state-of-the-art events center.
