My mom and I went to Avenue M last night and holy crap. This. Happened. I’ll write a more detailed review soon, but in the meantime feast your eyes on this feast they fed my mom and me! At the end you’ll see a dessert that was so tasty looking we started to eat it before I took a picture. LOL. Also, there was a rainbow in the sky when we left. Thanks, Chef Andrew and the crew at M! Y’all are the bomb.

Here are some pictures from the extravagant feast the Avenue M laid out for my mom and I last night! You can see more on my Food Fan page. It was excellent! Rick! Wings up! Thanks Chef Andrew McLeod for this cavalcade of calories! I’m still full.
Vaxxed up and maxed up and ready for action! I reached maximum immunity today and the first thing I did was hot foot it to Twisted Laurel Downtown Asheville! It was my restaurant of the year for 2020, and boy howdy! The Bodega Chop Cheese hoagy is perrrrrfect!!! Good gahd. So tasty. So spicy. So satisfying. And yes that’s a salad. I eat salads now. It’s great to be back out again, Asheville! Get your shots and get on out here with me!
Hehhhhlll yes. The AVL Wing Thing podcast has morphed into the Asheville Food Fans podcast, and it’s being hosted by WPVM 103.7 Community radio featuring the arts & culture of Asheville.. This week, Rick, Luis, and I talked about the approach of the endless hot dog season, and hot dogs of the world, as well the significance of Pupuseria Paty Ashevillejoining the Asheville Independent Restaurant Association, and we discussed the most controversial topic on Facebook this week: Crunchy Tacos. And, yes, of course we talked about WINGS from @Tienda El Quetzal! Good times!
Thanks to our producer Davyne Dial for making this all happen! I’ll be looking forward to recording many more!
