Moogfest has yet to speak up, but as the Year of Two Major Electronic Music Festivals gets underway in Asheville, AC Entertainment plants a flag in Halloween weekend 2013, October 25-27, for the debut of the Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit.

Moog Music and AC Entertainment “divorced” not long ago, leading AC Entertainment to rebrand the former Moogfest with a new name. Meanwhile Moog Music, with little more than the Moogfest name, plans a new festival.

From today’s AC Entertainment announcement:

SAVE THE DATES! Be sure to put October 25 – 27, 2013 on your radar and start planning to join us in Asheville, NC.

We’ve got so much excitement in the works that we can barely contain ourselves. We will be letting you know more in the coming weeks. Stay in touch on Facebook,Twitter and www.mountainoasisfestival.com.

Ashley Capps is the man behind this new festival, Moogfests 2009-2012, and local music promotions company AC Entertainment (who did the heavy lifting of the first three Moogfests). We talked to Capps about the Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit here: Moogfest/Mountain Oasis Q&A with Ashley Capps of AC Entertainment
