Rocker Dave Grohl and his crew stopped by a couple of Asheville’s awesome restaurants this snowy weekend to fuel up for his big Christmas Jam performances.

On Friday night, Grohl and company dined at Bull & Beggar down in the River Arts District. Grohl was in town for the 30th annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam. Grohl’s band included: Alain Johannes of Them Crooked Vultures (of which Grohl is also a member); Jane’s Addiction guitarist Chris Chaney; Drew Hester of Foo Fighters; producer Greg Kurstin; and session players Jason Falkner and Barrett Jones.

Grohl also got a late-night fill at Buxton Hall Barbecue down on the South Slope. Grohl performed Saturday night at two-night Christmas Jam at the U.S. Cellular Center. The Jam was extended to a third night with a special, last-minute pop-up concert on Sunday at The Orange Peel. That show featured Haynes and Grohl, and a host of their musical friends covering everything from Tom Petty at The Beatles to Nirvana, of course.
