asheville_darkroom_2013 The Asheville Darkroom needs cash or it will close. There’s a fundraising event tonight at The Odditorium to raise money toward the goal.

From Facebook:

The Asheville Darkroom has until August 21 to raise its minimum goal of $4400 through Indiegogo or it will have to close its doors in December. Help us out by simply having some fun with a night of bands, raffles, and a silent auction of local business goodies and art. $5 cover at the door helps keep our doors open to provide darkroom access and photographic educational opportunities for our community. We have big plans for the future and don’t want to have to call it quits!

The Asheville Darkroom’s mission:

The Asheville Darkroom provides classes, workshops, critiques, member access, and other programming to practice and promote photography as an art form.
