MG Road Hosts Asheville’s Second “Craft Cocktail Experience” on Friday,
December 14th

Asheville, N.C. November 29, 2012

MG Road, one of Asheville’s newest cocktail-centric bars, will host the second
Craft Cocktail Experience on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 6:30-9:30.

Presented by Eating Asheville, the Craft Cocktail Experience is a series of single
venue events intended to celebrate Asheville’s budding and vibrant craft cocktail
scene. Each event is hosted by a different local bar and features drinks from
Asheville’s most talented mixologists.

“This event is about honoring the artistry of hand-crafted cocktails,” said Joshua
Bailey, co-owner of Eating Asheville and longtime bar manager of Zambra. “The
idea is kind of a spin-off on Asheville’s underground supper clubs, like Blind Pig.
But with this, cocktails get to be the focus.”

This month’s Craft Cocktail Experience will feature four local mixologists: Kyle
Gray Beach of MG Road, Jason Crosby, bar manager at The Junction, Doug
Stevens of Storm Rhum Bar, and Joshua Bailey, bar manager at Zambra.

A menu of appetizers and heavy hors d’ oeuvres will be created by Meherwan
Irani, executive chef of Chai pani and MG Road, and guest chef Josh Dillard, of
Esmerelda Inn and former long-time sous chef at Zambra.

Tickets for The Craft Cocktail Experience are $59 per person and include four
hand-crafted cocktails and several appetizers.

“We are thrilled to host this event at MG Road,” said Meherwan Irani. “These
mixologists are chefs in their own right. They are constantly experimenting
with new flavors – making their own bitters, infusions and juices – while always
keeping an eye on traditional recipes and techniques. It’s really exciting to be a
part of the Asheville cocktail movement.”

Tickets for the Craft Cocktail Experience are available at http://eatingasheville.com/asheville-tickets/.

MG Road is located on Wall Street in downtown Asheville.
