Freedom is a beautiful thing, y’all. This July 4th weekend, exercise your right to celebrate it. From live music to more live music to boozy brunches and beyond, we’ve got the scoop on everything that will make your weekend great. And we even have your holiday weekendweather report. Seriously.
Enjoy delicious brunch items (jerk chicken and waffles with pecan-honey butter, anyone??) with free live music (and be sure to check out the current issue of WNC Magazine for a guide to AVL’s musical brunches!).
Reception Friday @ 6; Satellite is open 11-5 pm Sunday
Satellite Gallery in the Broadway Arts District hosts Dustin Spagnola’s new show. The opening reception is Friday. Hit that and then cycle back Sunday after your brunch to take in this show and others in the BAD.
The beloved Asheville tradition returns with a full day of family-friendly activities throughout the park and on the Roger McGuire Green. A fireworks show caps off your night at 9:30 pm.
Salvage Station is celebrating independence with free live music all week and through the weekend. On the 4th, enjoy the sweet sounds of Pleasure Chest, Crooked Beat Duo, and Liz Teague and Friends. Lawn games, food, drink, and party time by the river await.
ElectroChemical and BomBassic headline with support from Samuel Paradise, DJ Kutzu, and Musashi Xero. Come out after the fireworks have ended and keep the party going!
Tell us what you’re excited about this weekend in the comments!
