From an Asheville FM press release:

Asheville Free Media 3-Year Anniversary Party and Open House: September 13th and 15th

Just when you thought there was nothing new on the horizon except politics, AshevilleFM invites you to attend an evening of rip-roaring entertainment beginning with a screening of John Paizs, celebrated independent comedy “Crime Wave.” First presented at the Toronto International Film Festival, Paizs is currently the Director in Residence at the Canadian Film Centre (note spelling–it’s Canadian). Also on the agenda will be comedy by Minri Hinds, a Variety Show by Toy Boat and the Sugarfoot Serenaders, all opening for an evening of great times with a Raffle at 10:00pm.

When and where? Why on Thursday evening, September 13 at Asheville Pizza & Brewing on Merrimon Avenue with the screening set to light up the screen at 10:30pm. There is a suggested donation of $5.00.

And if that’s not enough, from Noon to 6:00pm on Saturday, September 15, AshevilleFM and their neighbor–David Kula–are holding an open house at their location over on 864 Haywood Road with plenty of music, a great BBQ, and giveaways, too!

After 22 years of practice in Chicago where David helped grow his firm from 4 to 30 lawyers, he is now opening his solo practice here in the West Asheville neighborhood where he lives. His practice will focus on educational/school law, representing students, parents, teachers, and administrators; and on entertainment/intellectual property law in the music and film industries.
