Construction on Wicked Weed Brewing at 91 Biltmore Ave. next to The Orange Peel is well under way. The crew has tweeted that they’ve received a grain silo and boiler, and that they’re busy pouring a new concrete floor.

Earlier this year, the developers of the new downtown microbrewery hoped to be open by the end of the year. Wicked Weed is a project of brothers Walt and Luke Dickinson and Ryan Guthy, as well as Guthy’s parents. More background here on Wicked Weed.

We’ll keep tabs on their progress. Meantime, a few selected Wicked Weed tweets:

Gettin ready to pour the floors in the brewery!

Just got our grain silo!!! It’s all coming togeather.

Just got our boiler!

A silo for a little brewpub? Isn’t that a little overkill? These folks obviously have more money than they know what to do with…
