Uncommon Market at The Foundation.

The Uncommon Market’s holiday market, which will feature more than 75 vendors selling everything from handmade crafts to vintage goods and home decor, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Sunday at The Foundation.

Unlike the Uncommon Market’s previous events this summer and fall at The Foundation, this weekend’s market will be held inside part of a 50,000-square-foot warehouse at The Foundation. Vendors will be spread out, all visitors will be required to wear masks and the number of visitors will be limited as concerns about the spread of Covid-19 continue. The cost to enter is $3 per person.

The event’s owners, Robert and Rebecca Nicholas (who own Splurge, a custom lighting and antique business at Wedge Studios in the River Arts District), say they’re thrilled to offer vendors an opportunity to sell their wares.

Shoppers will find unique holiday items, as well as non-holiday offerings such as home furnishings and much more, Robert Nicholas said. The market is also teaming up with the city of Asheville in support of minority business owners that are part of the One Love – Creators of Asheville group. Those businesses include clothing-maker It’s Amira M, sneaker seller FanVibes and Umami Tamalli, which makes authentic Mexican cuisine.
