The Asheville Cinema Society will screen Lila, Lila on Tuesday, Sept. 18.  The film begins at 7:15 PM at the Regal Biltmore Grande 15 in Biltmore Park.  Advance tickets are available online and remaining seats will be sold inside the theater lobby beginning at 6:45.

From the press release:

Lila, Lila tells the story of David Kern, a hapless waiter who falls in love with an attractive literature student named Marie.  Fate intervenes when he buys a table at a flea market and discovers a manuscript for a book in its drawers.  It’s a romantic tale that moves him deeply so he decides to show it to her, pretending he’s the actual author.  Indeed she loves it too, and their relationship blossoms.  What he doesn’t know is that she sends the manuscript to a publisher who quickly transforms it into a bestseller.  Suddenly thrust into the world of celebrity, David struggles with keeping up the ruse.  Things get even more complicated when the real author makes his presence known.

The 104 minute film is in German with English subtitles and stars Daniel Bruhl of Inglourious Basterds fame.  Lila, Lila is not rated, but has adult language and mild drug use on par with a PG-13 feature.
