The Rhu opens at a time when’s Asheville’s seeming obsession with outrageous use of unthinkable ingredients speckling many menus, has shocked many a taste bud….to death. This place brings back the basics with farm fresh bacon, Benton’s I might add (to my knowledge the only place in Asheville making benton’s available for purchase), local salami’s, tomato jams, and tasteful kitchen goods, such as Patch Design Studio’s dishtowels. Nice Touch Rhu. Thanks for giving Asheville’s downtown a spot that preserves the traditions of these hills so eloquently.
