The folks at the Sly Grog Lounge want people to know they’re still alive and well at 45 S. French Broad Ave., the building that is under renovation and home to a couple of other businesses, including Hopey & Co. grocery store and the second-hand market known as The Downtown Market. Soon to come: a new, as-yet-unannounced craft brewery. Here’s the announcement:

For those who have been fans of The Downtown Market and Sly Grog Lounge at 45 S. French Broad Ave, know that we are alive and well! We never went away!

The Downtown Market, that houses over 60 vendors of vintage clothes, antiques, up-cycled items, locally produced or made goods, art, crafty supplies, global gifts, jewelry, books, records, furniture, home décor, outdoor gear and more never left 45 S. French Broad.

We simply consolidated into a newly renovated space in the building with a new entrance. Our bar Sly Grog Lounge also now has its own entrance and cool new space with a new Open Mic night every Thursday at 8 p.m., game night every Wednesday at 7 pm with wildly popular “Word Night” every other Wednesday and we are presently booking live music and performers. Construction in the building continues for Hopey & Co.’s expansion as well as other businesses to come. Come have a drink, shop, relax, check out our new space and hang with us!
