Roger Derrough founded Dinner for the Earth (nee Earth Fare) in 1975 in the building on Merrimon across from the Hop that was knocked down by a car this month.
Roger’s company now has 15 stores in 4 states. How’s that for Healthy Growth? Yes Roger and his whole family is supporting me, as are many of the pioneer entrepreneurs who have made Asheville, at least the good parts, what it is today. Witness the endorsement made by Match our Mountains ( http://www.matchourmountains.org )
Against the predictions of bloggers and columnists alike, I won a spot in the general election, and here is my prediction. I will be among the new council members elected on November 8. I would appreciate your vote in early voting and on Nov. 8th.
Yours for Asheville,
Keith Thomson
