Pink_in_the_Park_2013Here’s the note from loyal reader Jessica:

I work with 99.9 Kiss Country and Star 104.3 and we are coming up on our 4th Annual Pink in the Park, a 5K that benefits the Ladies Night Out Program, a local non-profit that provided mammograms to low-income women in Western North Carolina. We work really hard with local partners to make this happen: Biltmore Park Town Square, Ingles, Mission Health and the Asheville Breast Center.

I wanted to make it clear that Pink in the Park is run by a committee of (currently) five local women who work with the above companies. We are a small crew, but we are so proud that this event has been able to grow each year.

Here’s our official info:

99.9 Kiss Country & Star 104.3 present the 4th annual Pink in the Park, a walk/run 5K for Breast Cancer, Saturday, October 5th, at Biltmore Park Town Square. Proceeds from Pink in the Park benefit local non-profit, The Ladies Night Out Program, which provides mammograms to low-income women in Western North Carolina.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN: Cost is $30/person.
