Here’s a quick look at construction on the new Whole Foods store going up on Tunnel Road in Asheville. This is Asheville’s first Whole Foods (the company bought Greenlife a few years back and kept it branded Greenlife.) The shopping center is also set to house the following retail stores: DSW, TrySports and Guitar Center.

We are getting a lot of the same types of businesses we already have. How about a Utrecht or a Pearl Paint store? The art supply store downtown doesn’t cut it and craft stores like Michael’s are horrible. How about an Apple store?

actually none of these businesses with the exception of Dollar Tree, Tunnel Vision, and Neo Burrito are in the mountains. dollar tree and Tunnel vision was ALREADY in the shopping center when KMart was open, and they are just getting a facelift.

        I think the point is:

        – Designer Show Warehouse? -> We already have lots of shoe stores. 🙁

        – TrySports? -> We already have lots of sporting goods stores. 🙁

        – Guitar Center? -> We already have lots of music stores. 🙁

        – Utrecht or Pearl? -> Why that would be fabulous! We have limited options for where to purchase art supplies. 🙂

Correction: Neo Burrito is local and is in the mountains.
