Very cool. Navitat is a great time. Here’s the press release:

NAVITAT CANOPY ADVENTURES

NAVITAT’s Blue Ridge Experience features the highest and longest ziplines in the Southeast, with riders racing side by side through the panoramic beauty of the western North Carolina mountains. The Blue Ridge Experience opens Saturday, May 10, at Navitat.

“Imagine the thrill of zooming from ridge to ridge at jaw-dropping speeds combined with big, sweeping mountaintop views,” said Abby Burt, NAVITAT Branding & Marketing Leader. “This is going to be a massive new experience for our guests, and we can’t wait to share it.”

The Blue Ridge Experience includes three pairs of “racing-style” ziplines, uniquely engineered to give guests an exhilarating ride. The shortest is 1,100 feet, the longest nearly three-quarters of a mile, and the highest is more than 350 feet off the ground. A special braking system automatically reduces the speed of the rider as he approaches the end of the zip, allowing him to focus exclusively on the experience and the views.

The tour also features three scenic hikes, with incredible 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland and long-range vistas nearly 20 miles to the West and north into Tennessee.

Opening May 10, the Blue Ridge Experience is an adrenaline-packed complement to NAVITAT’s original Moody Cove Adventure tour, which is consistently called one of the best zipline canopy tours in the nation.

“The Moody Cove tour is all about hanging out in the trees and exploring the canopy,” said Burt. “Blue Ridge Experience is about flying high and flying fast and traversing wide open spaces.
Blue Ridge Experience tours begin May 3 and run daily through November. Cost is $69 per person Sunday-Friday and $79 on Saturday and holidays. Moody Cove Adventure tours are already under way for 2014. Cost is $89 Sunday-Friday and $99 on Saturday and holidays. Reservations are required. Visit www.navitat.com or call 1-855-NAVITAT (855-628-4828) for more details and to book your tour.

Is this pinned to the top because Navitat is paying for the placement? Hard to figure out why else a post from April with no comments would be in the top spot . . .

Nate, I stuck it to the front because the zip line tour starts on Saturday.

Aha! That’s what I get for not paying attention to details! Thanks for the reply, Jason!
