Held in Pritchard Park downtown this year, the annual angst-releasing Valentine’s Day event was about 20-30 minutes of pure fun spent whomping friends and strangers of all ages with pillows. Hundreds attended on a perfect, sunny day.

This year saw many costumed pillow warriors, including a man with a beard in a red dress and high-heeled boots, a dude in a pink dress and spiked helmet, a man using sofa cushions as shields, plenty of attendees in red Valentines-inspired outfits, and a mystery man in a white motorcycle helmet.

We’ve got pics. And above, an incredible video by local filmmaker Katie Damien. Check it out.

Thanks to organizers and attendees for a wonderfully silly event that brings out the kid in everyone. If you haven’t been, you should go.
