New co-working space coming to Haywood Road in West Asheville

AVL Coworking, a new co-working space is coming to 726 Haywood Road in West Asheville. That spot is next to Luke Atkinson Furniture, and near Biscuit Head. Here’s more about the owner, Derek Colt Robinson, from the AVL Coworking website:

Originally from the Piedmont region of North Carolina, my wife Michelle and I moved to Asheville in 2006. In 2013, we made the move to West Asheville just a few blocks off of Haywood Rd and had our first daughter, Alex, in early 2014.

I am excited to be a member of the community and involved in it’s health and well-being, and am a strong proponent of supporting the independent professionals that give the area it’s unique identity. My involvement in this community is not only limited to Avl Coworking as I am also the founder and Creative Director of Provision Asheville. I love living in West Asheville and I strive to be an all around good neighbor as well as supporter of local businesses.

I’ve been involved with a wide variety of careers and business endeavors over the years and the older I get and the more experience I gain, the more I realize the value of community. Whether it’s neighbors that sacrificially care for one another, strong friendships that provide support as we evaluate our lives and personal financial decisions, or fellow entrepreneurs that network to gain wisdom and bounce ideas off each other, I’m convinced that we are not meant to live and work in isolation.
