Montford accupuncture college opens 3.5-acre retreat center in southwest Asheville

Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Montford has opened a retreat center and event space, Heaven’s Cloud Retreat Center, in southwest Asheville on Sardis Road.

From the Asheville Chamber, celebrating the center’s opening today with a ribbon-cutting at 4 p.m.:

Daoist Traditions is proud to announce the Grand Opening of Heaven’s Cloud Retreat Center. The community is invited to join them in celebrating their new event space with a few words and a blessing from their Dean of Classical Studies, Jeffrey Yuen. Mr. Yuen, a world renowned leader in Classical Chinese Medicine, is also an 88th generation Daoist priest from the Jade Purity School of Daoism and 26th generation of the Complete Reality School, Dragon Gate Sect.

There will be light refreshments and a raffle for free acupuncture treatments at the College Clinic in Asheville.

Daoist Traditions is one of 61 Acupuncture Colleges in the United States. Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts provides quality education in the Classical Medical Art and Science of Chinese Medicine. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and licensed by the NC Board of Governors to award a Masters Degree.

Daoist Traditions’ main campus is located in the beautiful historic district of Montford, adjacent to downtown Asheville. Heavens Cloud Retreat Center is the newest addition to Daoist Traditions’ campus. This retreat center includes indoor classroom space that seats 150 and an outside pavilion situated on 3.5 acres.
