It’s Zombie Day today in Ashvegas

Attention all you tourists in Asheville to check out our cool town and look at our beautiful mountains: don’t be surprised if you see a few leaf-peeping zombies along the way.

Today is Zombie Day in Asheville. While the annual Zombie Walk has been put off this year, there’s still going to be some fun zombie action going down. The Costume Shoppe on Haywood Street will help all you brain-hungry undead get suited up before your stroll. That’s about 3 p.m. this afternoon.

Then at 9 p.m., starting at the Westville Pub in West Asheville, there will be another unofficial zombie shamble. Mountain Xpress has more details here.

So like I said, if you see some bloodthirsty zombieheads walking around today, don’t be surprised. You’re just in Ashvegas.
