I’m hearing from more and more people who are getting nervous about the upcoming HATCHfest event here in Asheville. The event, set for April, is aimed at bringing a group of creative leaders in arts, architecture, film, music, fashion and journalism to the mountains and team them up with up-and-comers.

The event was born in Bozeman, Montana, where it’s been a big hit. Asheville has licensed the festival for 10 years, with help from AdvantageWest, the Grove Park Inn and others.

So the heavy-hitters are lined up. But since a mid-summer party that brought people together for a little brainstorming, there’s been no further action. The event is seven months away. What are the venues? Who is being sought after as the creative leaders that will come to Asheville?

People are getting antsy. Anybody got any word?
