Joey’s a sweetheart with a huge personality and an even bigger vocabulary. He’ll be missed!
Never had a chance to work with Joey, but frequently ran into him at the YMCA and other places around Asheville. He may have had this "Flash" persona, but I found him to be down to earth, with a very good sense of humor and a great deal of kindness. He always called me "Big Guy", which might very well have referred to the advancing size of my older age, but I know he was also tipping his hat to the time I spent working at the television station. Joey Flash is a good guy and I wish him all the luck down the road.
