Calling all Asheville Artisans and craftspeople! Join us as vendors at the first annual Asheville Chocolate and Arts Festival, December 8, 2012 at the Asheville Civic Center, a world music, arts, dance and CHOCOLATE festival featuring local and international artists, free local chocolate samples, and a live music fashion show with clothing from local designers and models from all over Asheville ages 7-70 years of age. Come Celebrate Art, Culture, and Chocolate at the Asheville Chocolate and Arts Festival on    December 8, 2012 at the Asheville Civic Center from  12pm-7pm.

Tickets purchased before November 1st are $18 for adults and FREE for children under 10. Free chocolate samples and all performances and workshops are included in your ticket price.  Tickets after November 1st are $22 for adults(door price) and free for children under 10. Go to: Ticketmaster.com

This multicultural arts event will feature performers, musicians and dancers from Asheville and beyond, local artisans, baskets and basket weaving  with Gullah artisans, cultural arts and dance by members of the Cherokee Nation, Mexican Dances, Bellydance, African dance, Argentine Tango, Hip Hop, and local chocolate tasting by Asheville’s finest chocolatiers and dessert-makers.  Three free chocolate sampling tickets are included in your ticket price

Performers will also be teaching classes in:  Drumming, Bellydance, and hip hop, throughout the day which are all included in your ticket price.  This is a family friendly event with Local children’s performance artists Juan Halladay and the Secret B-sides, balloon twisting, face painting, and dance workshops.

25% of proceeds will be donated to Urban Arts Institute and Odyessy School to fund multicultural arts education for Asheville youth
