Loyal reader jamunca offers this:

So after all that hullabaloo concerning Cuevas and how bad his forecasting is, I caught this on the Greenville station.

They ran one of those ads touting their weather radar. Theirs is called VIPIR which implies that they’ll not only accurately predict the weather, but their machinery will actually lash out and strike at the impending cold front, thus crippling it with its poisonous accu-fangs.

Anyways… they’re talking about how good their forecasting is because they have all this badass gear and the brains to run it all. And it’s all accompanied by bold, flashing words on the screen. Stuff like EXPERTS! DEPENDABLE! and …drum roll please, wait for it, wait for it…

WEATHER DOMINANCE!

I shit you not. They proclaimed their weather dominance down there in Greenville, S.C. Weather dominance. Can you imagine Cuevas saying he had total reign over the rain? That’s about what WYFF said. Hilarity ensues.

Indeed….

WYFF, WSPA… I can’t be bothered to keep em straight. All I know is one of those stations proclaimed, and I’m quoting from the commercial here, "Weather dominance." Incredible.

If anyone has weather dominance, it’s the weatherman for San Diego – how many consecutive days of great weather can one person stand?

Not that it really matters, because it’s ridiculous, no matter which station, but WSPA is the one with VIPIR. WYFF is the one which waited all of about an hour after missing the forecast to begin running spots saying "Cessarich got it right!!!!!!"
