Ashvegas reader: Are AB-Tech computer screen-savers a violation of election law?

   No Guarantee – No money! This is a slush fund for the county, and AB Tech will not get the money. There is nothing to make this a good plan. If AB Tech needs money for capital projects, let the government issue bonds, or have the law written that AB Tech gets all the money, but with this law the money goes into the General Treasury… NO GUARANTEE NO MONEY!

   Why do you care what AB Tech uses as a screen savor on their computers? If you are in favor of the tax then vote yes, if you are not in favor of the tax vote no, if you just can not be bothered then don't vote at all. If it gets voted yes & you do not want to pay the tax, then move out of the country and never visit again. Simple as that!!

   I'm not going to bother to call ABTech, but a quick web search showed me that they have an entire website devoted to campaigning, as well as having a phone bank with 'special guests'. So I imagine that what they are doing is just fine, or they are really dumb.
