This is important folks. Here’s the note:

Dear Fellow Business Leader:

Workforce housing costs have been an issue for our community for many years.

The Asheville Chamber convened a Housing Committee to make recommendations as to how the business community could best participate in addressing housing affordability.

The Committee’s initial course of action: a housing needs survey targeted at anyone who works in Buncombe County regardless of where they live.  We are asking for your help with this grassroots housing data collection effort.  Please share the link to the confidential survey with colleagues and all employees who work in Buncombe County: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MHL5RHH

We expect the results of the survey to provide a clearer understanding of the housing needs and desires of our local workforce.  The data will be used to shape next steps by the Housing Committee.

You can also download a copy of the survey at www.ashevillechamber.org/housingsurvey to print copies for your employees who might not have easy access to email.

The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete and will be open until June 30th.

Your help in encouraging participation is essential to getting comprehensive information on housing needs.  We will be awarding some great prizes through a random drawing of participants.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Kit Cramer, President/CEO, Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce
Pat Carver, Chair, Chamber Housing Committee
