JR, you can direct questions about Apothecary’s nonprofit status to them on their Facebook page. They answered me very quickly: https://www.facebook.com/ashevilleapothecary

Is this an actual non-profit or just a group of individuals acting as one?

JR, here’s the answer from Apothecary:

Currently, a team of friends serving as a board of directors is behind our operation. We are hoping to soon develop a much larger family of volunteers and potential interns to help staff/build/and enhance our space.

      Our team consists of:
      Frank Meadows
      Nick Scavo
      Aaron Dowdy
      Alex Cummings
      Zach Smith
      David Grubba

In association with the soon-to-be artists and volunteers frequenting our humble space!
