A bleary-eyed Happy New Year to you

Happy New Year, y’all! Ashvegas is updating from the road. More specifically, from a shabby Ramada Inn lobby. It smells like feet and danish. The “business center” consists of a computer lodged between the lobby door and the Bunn coffee-maker. A sign on the wall says “This is a business center not a entertainment center.”

We partied with the Avett Brothers at the Neighborhood Theater last night. And while we stayed sober, our heads still throb with the sound of ratchety noisemakers, boot-stomping and the drunken strains of “Wheels on the Bus.” We’ll explain the bus part later.

We’re winging our way back to the mountains. We’ll bring you lots more on the Avetts. We hope you all had a safe and happy night last night, and we’re ready to get on with Aught Seven.
