Make that, “A few friends and I have started . . .” Otherwise you’re saying “me . .has started a radical blog.” A little grammar and spell checking will help your underreporting.

My thoughts too… The only thing as obnoxious as a right-wing God-n-guns asshole is a left-wing kill-the-pigs asshole.

Mat I agree with you, I suppose the use of the term pig has just become so normal in our regular lives that it has bled into our writing. We’ll try our best to refrain from using the term pig.
On the other hand we’ll continue the use of lol cats and other such nonsense because honestly that seems to be what works online these days.
I really understand what they’re trying to do and why they’re trying to do it but they certainly aren’t impressing me with what is essentially a junior-high level of seriousness toward their subject matter and writing.
So, if “Lucy” and friends are serious about reporting the under-reported, may I suggest that they stop writing their pieces as though they were rejected submissions for The Onion? Or, perhaps, that they stop with the hackneyed hippie bullshit about “pigs”? If it isn’t even reaching people (like myself) who might otherwise agree with them, then how is it going to reach out to the audience that they, presumably, feel is being under-served by the current crop of local and national media?
