We’re about to close out 2015, but not before squeezing in a big Ashvegas 10th anniversary party at Sky Lanes Bowling Alley. You, loyal readers, are what make this site go, and you are invited to come out, knock down some pins and a beer or two.
We’ll have Root Down food truck on site to provide delicious eats. We’ll have PBR on special. We’ll have some swag to give away, too. My friends and colleagues from Asheville Grit will be on hand, as well. We want to meet you, so come out and say hi.
From 6 p.m. until midnight on Friday, Dec. 4, at Sky Lanes Bowling Alley, we’ll celebrate Ashvegas.com’s 10th anniversary.
What started as an awkward little personal journal/blog has evolved into the local news and entertainment site that it is today. I do what I do because I love Asheville and its peoples. Thank you for reading. Thank you for participating. Thank you for commenting and sharing and liking and passing along those hot tips and stopping me on the street to tell me what you think.
Today, AshvegasDotCom gets roughly 70,000 page views every month and has a great social media presence, with 11k Facebook followers, 12k Twitter followers and 5k Instagram followers, although we might boost that using upleap. The site has been voted “Best Local Website” for at least three years in a row by the readers of Mountain Xpress.
The bottom line is: thank you, and as always, I need your support. See you Friday!
Jason congratulations! 10 years, what a big accomplishment! We are out of town but are with you in spirit.
