Word on the street is that the owner of 5 Walnut has purchased some property in the River Arts District and is planning to build a new restaurant/bar. I’m not sure of the exact location – just north of the Craven Street bridge, I believe. More to come.

According to the N.C. Department of the Secretary of State's Corporations Division, 5 Walnut owner Matt Logan incorporated 233 Riverside, LLC in August and 233 Riverside, LLC is listed as the owner of the property at 233 Riverside Drive, according to the Buncombe County tax records. So I'm betting that will be the restaurants new location. It's immediately north of the Smoky Park bridge.

Looks like Matt Logan purchased 233 Riverside Drive back in August.
