Dec. 6: Outdoor Lighting Tour

The Buncombe County Chapter of the Western North Carolina Alliance is organizing an Evening Lighting Tour of Asheville on Tuesday, December 6th. Local lighting authority, Bernie Arghiere, and WNCA members will take a tour highlighting examples of good and bad lighting around town. The focus will be on Asheville’s lighting ordinance and Buncombe County’s efforts to bring about a similar code. Learn how we can work to reduce unsafe glare and unwanted light trespass from Asheville’s night sky.

The tour begins at 7 PM at the newly renovated Pack Tavern (20 South Spruce Street on Pack Square Park). The tour will take approximately 1 ½ hours and will return to Pack Tavern at the end of the evening. RSVP to [email protected] or call Joy Irby at 828-258-8737.
