Goodbye Rosa Parks
The local television news led off with the sad parting of Rosa Parks, the mother of the Civil Rights movement. A very brave woman. No local connection was reported – just straight from network news. She was 94.

Hero’s aren’t hard to find
Mary Jug-Liquor had a very nice story about a boy who saved an even younger boy from being hit by a car or something. A very sweet story, punctuated by Larry Blunt noting that the parents of the hero should be commended, too.

Stan the man

Here’s the latest Halloween costume we’ve been e-mailed. Seems Stan may be going out as Super Mario for a little trick-or-treat.

Roundup
Sheraldo did his usual sensational job on a story about chimney sweeps, using phrases describing somebody “getting a face full of soot” and showing video of the sweep totally getting cancer by breathing all the ash he was stirring up with no mask on. Julie Blunder did the cold weather story and brought back some nice pictures of an icy Mount Mitchell. And Cherub Charu looked cute in her winter cap and down vest. Can’t wait to see Scottie2Hottice in the bomber jacket.
