It may not be news to everyone. However, it was devastating news to my mother and others who have worked there nearly as long as the store has been open and are now without jobs.
This would be — and is — news in Asheville and many other small towns and cities. A store that's been around for a quarter of a century and is now shutting down: that's news. And bad news, at that. My wife loves to shop there when we make it into east Asheville.
J&S Cafeterias, fine dining, Asheville style. Yum!
OMG! Such devastating news…a pillar of the local economy is closing. Only in Asheville would this be news.
