Holiday show! Catch Raleigh bluegrass band Chatham County Line live at the Greagle with its traveling holiday show featuring Johnny Irion. If you want to spend your Sunday getting merry Chatham County Line style, just be the first commenter, and two tickets are yours.

Only commenters who have not won anything from Ashvegas in the last 30 days are eligible to win. Please use your correct first and last name in your comment, so we know who to hold your tickets for.

Ticket contests on Ashvegas (USUALLY) happen at 9 a.m. and/or 3 p.m weekdays, though we reserve the right to run a contest anytime.

From the Greagle:

Every December for the past five years, Chatham County Line has hosted a Holiday Show at the Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh, NC. From it’s humble beginnings, that show has become a yearly sold-out landmark of friends and song. In celebration of it’s sixth year, the guys decided to take the show on the road.

The Holiday show will feature a full acoustic set by the band, followed by a full electric set with the addition of Jay Brown (Tift Merritt, Stillhouse, Hotel Lights) on bass and Zeke Hutchins (Queen Sarah Saturday, Tift Merritt, Sara Watkins, Stillhouse) on drums. The rest of the band will shuffle from regular duties to add electric guitars, pedal steel, piano, and whatever else fits in the van. Johnny Irion (QSS, RIG, Guthrie Family Band) will be around to handle emcee duties, sing a few songs, and add to the general ruckus.

This night will start with a short set by Massachusetts’ folk-rocker Johnny Irion. After Johnny, Chatham County Line will take the stage for a full acoustic set in their traditional single mic formation. After a short break, CCL will “plug in” and perform an electric set with friends Zeke Hutchins on drums and Jay Brown on Bass. In the electric set, Greg Readling will move to Pedal Steel and Piano; Dave, John, and Chandler will rotate between fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and acoustic and electric guitars; and Johnny Irion will join the fray on piano and electric guitar. See you there!

8pm. $12.
