Here’s a cool note from loyal reader Josh, following up this weekend’s Widespread Panic show. While the news about Panic fans often focus on the negative, these folks do a lot of good. Josh, who works for MANNA Food Bank, was profiled in the Mountain Xpress about his work with Panic to collect food at their shows. Read it here. Now here’s the follow-up:

Jason,

Just an FYI. Panic fans donated more than $2,000 and almost 1,000 pounds of food to MANNA FoodBank this past weekend. That’s enough food and money for nearly 7,000 meals. These numbers are not yet official, so I’m low balling them. But, I just wanted to let some folks know that those who got arrested were not in the majority of those in attendance. Many, many fans volunteered and donated and will continue to do so on Panic’s entire spring tour.

Thanks, bud.

Hope you’re well.

jks
