I’m wondering when the Asheville and Weaverville communities will honor Sheila Dail, the 57-year-old flight attendant on U.S. Airways flight 1549 that made an emergency landing in the Hudson River a few weeks back. Everyone aboard the plane survived, and the crew of the flight has been hailed as heroes for being calm under pressure and making sure that everyone made it out alive.

I put up a post last night about Dail and the crew being honored at the Super Bowl.

My Weaverville notes that the crew and the plane’s pilot, Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, will be on 60 Minutes on Sunday, and on David Letterman on Feb. 10. It’s an amazing story, and the crew should be rightly hailed. Thanks to My Weaverville for finding the Super Bowl video.
