It’s going to be a mattress store and a wine shop per the construction foreman I spoke with last week. Hope this helps.
Here’s hoping the Red Lobster and Olive Garden plans have been obliterated; Tunnel Rd isn’t that much further away.
I spoke with Bob at the Wine Emporium last night and he is definitley moving to the location by Chili’s, he said he is leasing half of the building and the developer has not leased the other half as of yesterday. It sounds like Bob has some very ambitious plans, he is planning on adding a cheese section along with a 20′ bar.
As far as I know, the plans are still on for the Olive Garden/Red Lobster, Darden is just riding out the storm before developing.
Stopped and talked to the foreman on site and he said it is going to be an "As Seen on TV" store… Just what Asheville needs.
Does anyone know whatever happened to the plans to build a Red Lobster and an Olive Garden on Airport Road?
A waitress from the Chili’s told us it was a mattress store.
The Wine store up the road (near IHOP) is moving next to chili’s.
