   Di, yes, all of Ashvegas knows that the Beaver Lake has been drained. The local newspaper reports:

   "The private lake off Merrimon Avenue has been partially drained to repair the drainage system, exposing not only mud but also a late 1960s GM car with a 1989 registration tag that was pulled out of the lake Thursday."

   The real news that nobody’s followed up on is about the damn car!

   Has no one asked you or sought you out as to why Beaver Lake looks like there’s been a holocost? What’s up with the water level? Is it common Asheville knowledge and I’ve just been under a rock?
