Yeah, Caldwell, I guess. I’d like to have a beer with Bob Caldwell someday. Just hope he doesn’t make me go explore some damn cave or waterfall.
i miss bob caldwell, too. *sniff*
For me, the best part of WLOS’ newscasts was always the end. You know, when they finally stopped talking.
In all seriousness, I’ve spent much of the week writing to Mediacom, Sinclair, WLOS, the FCC and ABC. From Mediacom, I’ve asked that they refund a significant portion of their monthly fees becaause of their failure to provide a promised service, c.f.,the only local programming in this market. Mediacom flatly refused to do so. To the other parties I’ve complained about the irresponsibility of Sinclair’s "scorched earth" negotiating approach. I suggest that any other people who are affected by Sinclair’s decison to write or call the major players. Contact them as often as you can. Let them know you’re pissed.
hmmm….what do i miss the most….
could it be correcting the pronunciation mistakes made during the newscasts?
or wanting to throw things at the tv every time simple simon says something stupid? (it’s a good thing i really don’t do that, or our tv would have died weeks ago.)
or watching my husband cringe every time julie blunder’s on?
or is there something else i’m missing??
Why thank ye for making me a post. I do not miss Le’s candid commentaries on Asheville. Watching the cars speed by on Patton as he tries to get an interview about some ridiculous subject is annoying. If he jumped on a trampoline it would be more entertaining. I will let you know when those o’ so valuable rabbit ears arrive. I am sure mediacom will find a way to charge for them.
