I first noticed yesterday that Erika Franzi was getting a lot of press for her questioning of small donations to the Barack Obama campaign.

Now I see that the local newspaper has discovered her, as well. They found her outside the Asheville Civic Center, awaiting the Sarah Palin rally:

Erika Franzi, 36, a Weaverville homemaker, brought her daughter, Gracie, 9, to be part of history. While Hilary Clinton was running for the Democratic nomination, Franzi didn’t think much of a female candidate on the ticket. But after Palin was tapped for the Republican ticket, Franzi said she was surprised at her own reaction. “For the first time, I thought my daughter could grow up to be president.”

As for Gracie, she said, “Sarah Palin is my hero. She’s smart and she’s brave.”

Erika Franzi is a right wing nut. Her political blog routinely quotes and references articles found on hate group and white supremacist websites. She’s also the leader of the Asheville Tea Party Movement.

    Enough said.
