UPDATE: Moe’s has opened a location in Woodfin where the old HB’s Drive-in/Baja Cafe/ Magnolia Ray used to be at (across from Reynolds Village). A Family Restaurant is going in at the old Athens Restaurant.
Hopefully Moe’s will keep using that awesome little dance floor in the back like JOH did.
I am so very sorry that Athens is closing and I will genuinely miss them. Everyone at Athens is so friendly and welcoming and I loved the steak and cheese subs and gyros. Maybe they will tire of having a “life” and open another place in Weaverville!
That’s too bad about Athens. That is a nice family that owned it. Hopefully they will take up a new venture in the area.
They hope to be open by middle part of may, 90% confirmed.
