In other sports related news, at 5:30 today Pat Simon plugged a charity softball game involving the WLOSers. It’s tomorrow (Saturday) at 1pm @ Jackson Park in Hendersonville. $5 at the gate goes to cancer research, I think.
Not sure if he mentioned who was playing, but it looked like Cuevas played last year from the video they showed. Should be a great opportunity to get pictures of male anchors/reporters/weathermen throwing like girls.
Shameless plug alert, check out http://www.citizen-times.com/onbase for am Asheville Tourists blog written by yours truly. It’s an interesting team this year, and the blog is a place where I get to speak pretty freely on my thoughts after having to sit through one mind-numbing game after another.
And I agree, I LURVED the outfield trees. Really added to the charm. And believe it or not, I think they want to put some seats up on the hill in left field.
thanks EM!
yes, good eye Catnap. the new corporate owners of the Tourists cut down all the trees last year. it sucks.
they cut down all the trees in the outfield. I always thought that was part of the charm. The little ballparkin the woods.
Nice!
