Ready for another wacky weekend in Asheville? We are! Here’s our roundup of what’s happening in town this weekend. Plus, we have a very special guest who will sing to you of the evils of Krampus when you watch our video…
The local chapter of the national Ghostlight Project will meet at the Magnetic Theatre to talk about the role of theatre in shaping and reflecting community values. The meeting, organized by the Magnetic and Asheville Creative Arts, will bring in members of many other local theatres and is open to any and all who are interested in joining this discussion. Free.
This peaceful march and sit-in, happening across cities in the United States, will bridge the diverse communities in WNC in a pro-humanity, all-inclusive event.
This peaceful march aims to “show our new administration that we stand with our families and friends for the protection of our rights, safety, and health. We recognize that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our democratic society.”
Get geared up for this year’s Fearless Fringe Festival, happening next weekend! This kickoff party is open to the public and will feature dance troupe The Accidentals, plus other strange and exciting pop-up performances from Fringe artists. We <3 the Fringe! Check out the full schedule and get your festival tickets now at ashevillefringe.org.
***A very special thanks to Shingles, our Fringey guest this week! You can check out Shingles’s show, Krampus Walks Into a Bar, on this year’s Fringe LaZoom Tour.***
