The bar for Halloween costumes was set quite high Friday night at the Unknown Hinson show at the Grey Eagle.

As has regularly been the case at the annual event, fans of the self-proclaimed ‘King of Country-Western Troubadours’ came out dressed in their best spooky and zany attire to win fabulous prizes during the set-break costume contest.

Emceed by local comedian George the Bastard of the Feral Chihuahuas, more than 75 people lined up to parade in front of the stage.

Notable entries included a spot-on version of Prince by a female fan, as well as zombie Amy Winehouse and trash bag Santa.

Sadly, only three contestants could take home the swag provided by Unknown Hinson, Coors Lite and the Grey Eagle.

The winners were: third place: World Series scoreboard (with updates throughout the night!), second place: Granny from Squiebillies (complete with walker!) and first place went to a spot-on leather batwinged and mouth-blood dripping Gene Simmons from Kiss.

Can you top that? If so, send in your favorite costumes to [email protected].
