Holiday Lights Around Town @ Various Locations
Driving around and looking at Christmas lights displays has always been a favorite tradition of my family, and there are several spots in town where you can drive–or walk–through a sparkling winter wonderland. Check out the lights displays at Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland at the WNC Ag Center (driving tour open through 12/28) and Winter Lights at the NC Arboretum (walking tour). Lake Julian in South Asheville hosts a light display (driving tour) that closes on Friday, 12/23.
If you need to escape the house on Christmas, head on over to Lazy Diamond for live music from the Krektones, drink specials, arcade games in the backroom. Breathe deep and enjoy the absence of family drama as you dance it out.
