The World Naked Bike Ride is getting a free ride on a lot of Ashvegas blogs, with people simply posting the time, date, place. Let me give you a little insight into the Naked Bike Ride.
I’m talking about the Asheville version. I don’t know about how it’s organized in other cities, but here in Ashvegas, it is little more than a publicity stunt for an old man who likes young women. And in Ashvegas, nobody really gets naked.
It’s organized by a saggy old man I call the Swami, some weirdo that moves in underground Ashvegas and has a little following, although God only knows why. Maybe he’s got some good weed or something. But I don’t trust the Swami.
The Swami has worked his way into having a radio show, but basically got his start in his dealings with Russian beauties. The Swami would go to Russia, hook up with some Russian women, and sometimes bring a few back stateside, where they might hang with him for a while before moving on. Now the Swami is offering trips to Russia for “tantric parties” with women there. Check out his Web site for more.
The Naked Bike Ride urges people to come out and protest high gas prices, the war in Iraq and corporate globalization by stripping down and slapping your bare ass on a banana seat. It makes no sense.
In Ashvegas last year, the small group of riders who decided to follow the wrinkled Swami were outnumbered 10-to-1 by leering onlookers with video recording equipment of all sorts hoping to capture some skin.
The ride is scheduled for about noon June 11 to start at the French Broad Food Co-op. They better hope the weather warms up, or there’s going to be some major shrinkage going on out there.
