Councilman Brownie Newman asks for clarification on the motion for approval of the Ellington and which design is preferred. Councilwoman Robin Cape says she likes the initial design, which is skinnier and two stories taller. There’s your four votes for the original design – Newman, Cape, Mumpower and Davis.

City Attorney Bob Oast says we need clarification on what motion is on the floor. The motion is to approval the original design, says Mayor Terry Bellamy.

So Cape makes the motion and now Councilman Carl Mumpower seconds that clarified motion.
