Our daughter saw the Biltmore McDonalds on the Travel Channel and has been begging us to take her there. For Christmas we gave her Biltmore House tickets and dinner at McDonalds. She was so excited. Biltmore was a dream for her. She has autism and little things mean the world to her. Espeically to travel. We went to McDonalds for dinner afterwards. So pretty with the fireplaces and grand piano.
To our disappointment, the service was so poor I wanted to leave, but, kept our promise. We stood at the counter to order for some time while the girl at the cash register was texting. Then a friend of hers came up and was asking her out. She then went back to texting. I cleared my throat, she looked up from texting at me like what in the heck do you want, I'm busy here. I said, Would you mind taking our order. With a noticeable sigh, she said OK, what do you want? It was so outragious. I'm a southerner from SC my mom from NC and who wants to be treated like that? It was not a nice experience for our daughter. I felt so bad for her. Please get a manager and employees that CARE. I have been in SC Tourism for over 25 years. Please send me an application. I would be delighted to run and promote this beautiful place. Thank you. Sincerely, Thompson family.
